Description

PT150 (ORG-34517) is a competitive and orally active glucocorticoid receptor antagonist. PT150 shows neuroprotective effects. PT150 has the potential for the research of Parkinson’s disease[1][2].

In Vivo

PT150 (30, 100 mg/kg; p.o.; daily for 14 days) shows neuroprotective effects in rotenone (HY-B1756) induced Parkinson’s disease mouse[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: C57Bl/6 mice (2.5 mg/kg/day rotenone by intraperitoneal injection for 14 days)[2]
Dosage: 30, 100 mg/kg
Administration: P.o.; daily for 14 days
Result: Reduced the loss of dopaminergic neuron (DAn) cell bodies in the substantia nigra (SN), but not the striatum, and prohibited intra-neuronal accumulation of α-synuclein (α-syn).

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
