Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily (TNFSF/TNFRSF)

Definition:

The tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and TNF receptor superfamilies (TNFSF/TNFRSF) include 19 ligands and 29 receptors. Interactions among these TNFSF ligands and TNFRSF receptors mediate signaling that controls the survival, proliferation, differentiation, and effector functions of both immune and non-immune cells.
